  • Captain

I was born in South Africa, far from the ocean, but water—and fishing—have always been central to my life. I’ve been fortunate to fish all over the world, competing in freshwater and deep-sea tournaments, chasing personal goals and world records, and making lifelong friends along the way.

Fishing led me to incredible places, even to meeting my wife. Now, we have two amazing kids who also love the water. I spent over a decade as a sportfishing captain, ran boats globally, owned a charter business, and managed a world-famous lodge.

To me, the journey is just as exciting as the catch—planning the trip, anticipating the unknown, and finally feeling that line go tight. That moment never gets old.

I’ve learned from some of the best and love helping others find their passion in the sport. Whether it’s a cane pole under a tree or heavy gear on the Great Barrier Reef, I love it all—and I want to share that excitement with as many people as I can.

  • Owner/Managing Director

Mallory White is the owner and managing director of Fishing the Planet. Travel has always been a passion of hers—a way to make deep connections with people and places. Close to nine years running a fishing lodge deepened her passion for travel and opened a new avenue to make connections—fishing! Fishing has a way of connecting people like nothing else. Fishing is humbling—a sport that requires deep connections to the people you're with and, most importantly, respect for the nature that surrounds you. Her goal is to create a curated fishing experience from start to finish, so that you can enjoy the people, the place, and chasing that bite.
